“Knowing who won and how much money changed hands is the only way to get a true picture of the litigation landscape,” says Josh Blandi, CEO of UniCourt.

Now, legal professionals can leverage these powerful analytics to understand case outcomes in terms of damages awarded, timing, and plaintiff/defendant win rates. They can compare attorneys to find those with the strongest experience by trial count, win/loss rate, damages awarded, and more. These new analytics can help answer questions such as:

• What’s the median jury award for a personal injury case, and is this specific jurisdiction more favorable to plaintiffs or defendants?
• How long should I expect a case to last if it goes to judgment? What if it goes to trial?
• How do my panel of attorneys compare against each other? Who is the best attorney for this case if it goes to trial?

“Knowing who won and how much money changed hands is the only way to get a true picture of the litigation landscape,” says Josh Blandi, CEO of UniCourt. “Our judgment and attorney comparison analytics enables legal professionals to better assess litigation trends, outcomes, counsel experience, and ultimately, results. Understanding liability trends and counsel performance will help legal professionals make data-backed decisions on case values, litigation strategy, and business implications.”

Attorney Comparison Analytics

Legal professionals will now also be able to leverage new sophisticated comparison tools in order to compare attorneys by:

• Litigation experience: total case count and number of judgments/verdicts awarded
• Win/Loss records: number of judgments and verdicts won and overall win percentages
• Damages awarded: total and median amounts won on behalf of clients

The new judgment analytics and counsel comparison are built into UniCourt’s exclusive Litigation Knowledge Graph, which connects cases, claims, facts, and outcomes directly to underlying documents and key players involved (attorneys, law firms, judges, courts, parties).
